MultiGP 2017 Drone Racing Championship
MultiGP Drone Racing held their drone racing championship on Sunday September 17 at the 54th National Championship Air Races in Reno, Nevada.
The championship event began on Thursday with practice and qualifying rounds on Friday and Saturday with the final on Sunday. Friday and Saturday had multiple qualifying rounds with over one hundred pilots racing for the opportunity to compete for the MultiGP 2017 Drone Racing Championship. Along with the champions title the winner would received a check in the amount of $10,000.00.
The online streaming coverage of the MultiGP 2017 Drone Racing Championship got off to a rocky start with several technical clitches revolving around the FPV video feeds viewers watched and problems getting the announcers sound working on a consistent basis. The FPV video feeds were bright and there was a problem with interference. By Sunday most of the FPV streaming and sound technical problem were resolved.

Jet joined the competition and was off to a good start making it through some qualifying rounds but did not make into the final.
MultiGP 2017 Drone Racing Championship Sunday Final
Sunday afternoon the final field of drone racers was set.
The final would consist of four pilots jawz, 32bitsofGil, Captainvanover, and Jrod.
The finalist were ripping laps off in less than twenty five seconds in the prviuos qualifying rounds.
The MultiGP 2017 Drone Racing Championship race would consist of four laps around the race circuit. The number one qualifier was Jrod, second qualifier 32bitsofGil, third qualifier jawz, and forth qualifier was captainvanover.
At the end of the race only five seconds seperated the finalist combined four lap times. 32bitofGil clocked the fastest single lap with a 24.216 time.
The winner and MultiGP 2017 Drone Racing Champion turned in a combined four lap time of 1:44.078 with an average lap time of 26.019 and beating out second place by a mere 3.062 seconds.
