The object of any race is to get to the finish line first wherever that line maybe

This principle most definitely applies to drone racing.
Getting there first is what any form of racing is all about.
So how to do that? What is the best way to get to the finish line first?
A good place to start is what racers everywhere refer to as the racing line. That is the elusive path that lies somewhere inside the two edges of the race track that is not only the fastest way around the track but also the quickest. I’m sure if you are into drone racing you have seen some auto racing and have heard people use the term racing line.
One of the main principles of the racing line is the concept of straightening out the curves.

How does one straighten out curves?

As an example of this idea think of a mostly straight area of the race track but it has a small little bend. There is an angle to get through that kink where the least amount of wheel input or turn is needed and in that concept lies the essence of discovering the perfect drone racing racing line.
