It’s official the Drone Racing League has proclaimed Jordan ‘Jet’ Temkin of Fort Collins Colorado is the 2017 DRL Allianz World Champion and awarded the title “World’s Greatest Drone Pilot”.
Jet at the age of 25 is also the defending 2016 Drone Racing League Champion. That makes Jet the only champion in the history of the Drone Racing League Championship. We expect Jordan ‘Jet’ Tomkin to defend his championship in 2018 and go for the trifecta!

“We’re so proud of Jet, a two-time DRL winner, who consistently navigated hairpin, razor sharp turns with precision and speed,” said DRL CEO & founder, Nicholas Horbaczewski. “He has proven himself to be the best drone pilot on the planet, and we can’t wait for him to return for the 2018 Season.”

“Being named the 2017 DRL Allianz World Champion feels surreal, and winning for the second season proves that practice pays off,” said Jet. “Winning DRL allows me to continue doing what I love: drone racing all day, every day.”

Alexandra Palace in London served as the venue for the epic championship final in which Jet battled eight of DRL’s elite drone racing pilot in a round robin format for seven heart pounding adrenaline rushing heats.

The drone racing course itself serve as a first and the debut for what the DRL is calling “FPV Power Loop”. The FPV Power Loop is a series of lighted gates in which the pilot is forced to fly inverted! Whoohoo!

A Racing Drone World congratulations to the Drone Racing League on a successful DRL Allianz World Championship 2017 Drone Racing Championship and year presenting some of the best drone racing currently being offered.
